The Aquarium Collection

This first collection of fish was inspired by my personal aquarium that is in my office/studio. It contains several beautiful, colorful and spirited African Cichlids and Synodontis Catfish. I had been doing a lot of pop art-style character work and wanted to explore something more detailed. Drawing fish was a natural progression since I live with them every day. I did not set out to do a collection of fish but I got such satisfaction from the process and a great response so I began doing some different fish along with character work. 

The aquarium in my studio gives me a lot of satisfaction. Now, there is a full set of fish that I can share with others. The prints, pillows, hats and other items in this collection are all hand-drawn originals that were reproduced for display wherever fish are appreciated.
